Cycladic Head

The ancient Cycladic people flourished on the islands of the Aegean Sea from around 3300 to 1100 BCE and, together with Minoan and Mycenaean societies, were counted among the three major Aegean cultures. This beautiful cast of the head from a female figure dates to the Early Cycladic II period, about 2700-2300 BCE. The original can be found in the Louvre.
